Farm Beautiful

Organic, sustainable permaculture on 3 acres the world better one beautiful day at a time!
Work Exchange Program

We've had a wonderful response from our ad and by word of mouth. We are so pleased that there are so many who are interested, and, of course, it's great for us to have some extra hands helping!

The work exchange area is separate from the main house. There are several cute screened sleeping rooms and even a treehouse! These are designed especially for island living... mostly screen... quite cozy. All around the property is lush green vegetation: bananas, surinam cherries, pineapple, macadamia nuts, avocados, tangerines, breadfruit, starfruit, oranges, limes and even dragonfruit! There are beautiful tropical palms, orchids, tropical flowers and magnificent rainbow eucalyptus trees.

We are proud to say with all sincerity that we are an honest operation with integrity and respect for one another. Many volunteers find this out after an exhaustive search at other places and wish they had come here first.

Fair Trade, Apprentice Introduction

We are currently working on creating a more Healthy, Natural, Organic, Sustainable, Humane Environment within 3 acres of land we Lovingly call Home,

It is important for us to work with responsible, compatible, caring people who are NOT into smoking, drugs, alcohol or any other harmful addictions, we are law abiding citizens who enjoy harmonious relationships, so this is also a Drama Free Zone,

Please notice this is a “RainForest” Environment, there are bugs, plants and animals some people consider “inconvenient” or “annoying” but we continue learning, and enjoying living in harmony with Mother Nature and all its different life forms,

The campsites are under cover with screen, the average floor space inside is about 8 X 8 feet, enough room for 2 people with 2 backpacks, or 2 regular suitcases,

There is an outdoor kitchen under cover also, with an area about 12 X 20 feet, right under the tree house with a two burner propane stove, table, chairs and some room for food storage,

There is running water, a regular toilet and a warm shower nearby. We are preparing the campsite area to be more sustainable eventually, a simple compost toilet is already placed near the Campsites,

If you feel we are compatible, there are 3 options we offer to familiarize ourselves with each other for the first week,

1) The First option we feel is fair for everyone concerned is for us to request $20.00 for each person, to stay as a Guest for the first 2 days, or nights, the total for 2 people for 2 days would be $80.00 US Dollar, please notice this money is not refundable,

The reason we request this now, is because generally speaking, this gives us an opportunity to communicate in a relaxed atmosphere, at your own leisure before making any agreements to participate, and to find out if we are compatible in all concerns,

For Reservations we request a securing deposit of $50 US Dollars, per person before arrival, by credit card or debit,

2) Second option is to Volunteer to Help, an average of 21 hours for the first week, per person, after staying as a Guest for 2 days, in exchange for the Campsite, working schedule is flexible, and may vary according to different weekly projects,

3) The third option after the first week is to consider other agreements on individual basis, for example; someone may decide to Volunteer 4 days in exchange for 12 hours, then pay $60.00 for the next 3 days as a Guest,

Any other agreements after the first week is by mutual consent, and subject to change on an individual basis,

Please bring a copy of legal identification, such as a valid drivers license, or current valid passport,

Personal Responsibility; Each person staying here as a Guest or Volunteer is responsible for their own Health, Safety, and all personal expenses,

It is important for us to communicate on a weekly basis with possible Guest or Volunteers, for any changes relating to reservations or space available,

We visualize visitors being here for two weeks or longer. The time is meant to enable visitors to stay in Hawai´i without having to pay for costly accommodations. We trust it will be a very positive experience for all of us. It will enable us all to meet conscious people from other parts of the islands, country and world.

Leave your baggage behind and prepare to explore a connection with the elements of nature while nurturing your creativity!

You will need to plan on arranging your own transportation to and from the property. There are taxi's from the airport or we can suggest a transportation professional.

It's a good idea to plan on renting a car for your visit here. We are not close to public transportation. It will cost about $45 a day or $300 a week minimum. You'll need to be at least 25 years old, and have a credit card and valid drivers license.

We are putting together a schedule of when people are available and when the space is available. If you are interested in registering for the work exchange program, please indicate this when sending an e-mail to us.  Please let us know if you need more information or have other questions. We certainly have an amazing community in East Hawai'i! Come and join us in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

With Much Aloha,
